About
Victoria Nyanjura is a women’s rights activist and the founder of Women in Action for Women. At 14, Victoria was kidnapped from her school by members of the Lord’s Resistance Army. While in captivity, she was subjected to abuse, but managed to escape. Thanks to her efforts, the government passed a transitional justice policy to help survivors. In 2018, Victoria was one of the recipients of the Navarra International Solidarity Award.
